United Nations Global Compact
evo3 has always strove to being fair, transparent, and environmentally and socially responsible. Although an SME, we always aimed to have a strong CSR present embedded in the backbone of our model. That is why we are truly proud to have signed and accepted as a member – as one of four Greek food companies and the only olive oil company – of the United Nations Global Compact, the world’s largest corporate citizen’s initiative. This allows us to join the CSR Network Hellas – the local Global Compact Network.
Companies join the Global Compact because they share the conviction that business practices rooted in universal principles contribute to a more stable and inclusive global market and help build prosperous and thriving societies.
At the UN Global Compact, the mission is to create a sustainable and inclusive global economy that delivers lasting benefits to people, communities and markets.
To make this happen, the UN Global Compact supports companies to:
- Do business responsibly by aligning their strategies and operations with Ten Principles on human rights, labor, environment and anti-corruption, which are derived from the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the International Labor Organization’s Declaration on Fundamental Principle and Rights at Work, the Rio Declaration on Environment and Development, and the United Nations Convention Against Corruption; and
- Take strategic actions to advance broader societal goals, such as the UN Sustainable Development Goals, with an emphasis on collaboration and innovation.
This initiative perfectly reflects our own Code of Ethics, with a commitment to supporting the continuous improvement and sustainable development of our business.
